Everything you need to know about planning a trip to South Dakota’s Black Hills - Including guides to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Wildlife Loop, Sylvan Lake, Black Elk Peak, Jewel Cave, and Wind Cave.
Exploring Zion National Park
A guide for all hiking ability in Zion National Park. Best easy hikes - Riverside Walk, Pa’rus, and Canyon Overlook. Best views - Scout Overlook, Canyon Overlook, and the Narrows. Most overrated hike - Angel’s Landing - this hike is dangerous. The views aren’t worth it. Best waterfalls - the Narrows, Pa’rus, Emerald Pools, and Weeping Rock. Most worth the adventure, pre-planning, and permits - Zion Narrows hike top down and consider learning to rappel - there are multiple places in the park to try it out.
Planning a Trip to the North Shore
From Jay Cooke to Duluth and up to the Canadian Border, these are my favorite places to stop along Lake Superior’s North Shore of Minnesota off of MN-61. Included are favorite hikes at Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, Tettegouche, Temperance River, Cascade, George Crosby Manitou, Judge Magney, Grand Portage, and the Superior Hiking Trail. See amazing waterfalls, sea caves, spend time on the beach, skip rocks, hike to incredible overlooks, and canoe through lakes clean enough to drink from.
